Overnight Sleep Over ...Dr. Samuel Lyle House

Dr. Samuel H. Lyle, a beloved physician, who practiced in Franklin, North Carolina in the late 1800s and early 1900s  loved his home, a beautiful Victorian set off from the beaten path, where he raised his boy, watched the sun rise and set, whispered sweet love words to his dear wife and in the home’s mirrors watched himself grow old. Many believe the good doctor and his treasured wife after their deaths never left their home. Many believe Dr. Lyle still walks his floors and watches the seasons change through the windows of the old Victorian in the trees. Where Shadows Walk, Franklin’s Haunted History Tour is excited to announce our newest adventure and truly one of the most unique opportunities one might ever experience. Beginning this October, the Where Shadows Walk team will begin hosting overnight weekend stays at the beautiful and wildly historic Dr. Samuel Lyle house. The package includes a two-hour classic walking ghost and history tour around historic Franklin, North Carolina, wine and cheese in the evening, ghost stories in the parlor by the fire by night and breakfast the following morning. Where else might one stay in an amazing, historic, haunted mid-nineteenth century Victorian home, deep in the mystic Appalachian Mountains, hear mysteries, histories, and true ghost stories around the crackling fire as the shadows lengthen and the night comes alive
